Background: From younger days, have had one strong desire viz. to provide a platform to underprivileged children so that they may grow and lead respectable and productive lives.
Elitist might turn up for charity balls/events to show their support however the best of us treat these backward communities with disrespect and disdain. All of us are blessed with talents by the almighty but unfortunately in the absence of the right environment, our potential never comes to the fore. Notwithstanding the background, these children should not become victims of lack of opportunities and thereby unable to showcase their abilities. Have always believed that all children are born equal and therefore the chances of success should be equal if all are given the same environment.
The turning point in her life came in when she finally decided to form Gunjan Foundation in 2004, an organization to work towards the uplifting the underprivileged children. Her family was very supportive and stood by her with all her decisions.
"A woman is the full circle with her is the power to create, nurture and transform". She started slow & steady and her breakthrough came when she conducted a seminars on "Mind Pollution", which spoke about the mindset of the society towards the underprivileged, sadist approach, which was a huge success. "If you work with passion and enjoy what you are pursuing, you will find the solution to life", she says.
Have a strong belief system instilled by her father "dream big and you will achieve your dreams through hard work'. So don't let hurdles dishearten and successes spoil .

Started an underprivileged school in April, 2010 in Gurgaon, Objective was to provide quality education and to teach them to improve their living condition, to achieve social awareness, self-respect, self-reliance, prosperity and enjoy a healthy, dignified and sustainable quality of life.
Gunjan Foundation is providing scholarship to around 250 students (school & advanced education). Gunjan has opened a new chapter in Jaipur with the sole intent of disbursing scholarships for college education. In Jaipur chapter, we are sponsoring 10 girls for higher education in different fields like Engineering (IIT), MBBS, B.Pharma, BCA etc. Gunjan has also started a chapter in Ahmedabad to support needy children in their pursuit of school and college education.
Opened an Afternoon Remedial and Skill training School on the 1st of October, 2012. Concept is to provide individualized type tuition classes.
Provides skill training to the underprivileged girls and ladies so that they may be self- sufficient a self-Employment scheme. After training they are able to get jobs and take workshops in the colleges, schools and other places to earn better living.
Donated appliances to Safdarjung Hospital to rehabilitate the people who are in need. Organized camps for donating artificial limbs and then try to get jobs for them.
As a true environmentalist, drew the attention of Delhites to the growing mind pollution which is enveloping our next generation and which will not spare our future generations. To draw attention to cause, in the summer of 2005, organized the first ever daylong symposium on 'Mind Pollution' with a set of distinguished speakers. Had invited Dr. Karan Singh, Late Sri Vishnu Kant Shastri then Governor, UP., Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, veteran lawyer, Shovna Narayan, Kathak Danseur and others to share their views.
The success of the first symposium led to organize a second and much larger one .The speakers this time who agreed to voice their views were Mrs. Sushma Seth, activist and reformist, Ms. Nalini Singh, Media, Dr. S.Y Quraishi. This symposium too was a great success and got tremendous media coverage.
After the success of the two seminars and the encouraging positive feedback of those who attended, came up with the idea of publishing a book on Mind Pollution. Got in touch with the eminent speakers who spoke at the seminars and other notable writers and requested them for contributions. In 2010 the book 'Exploring Mind Pollution' was ready and released by Javed Akhtar. The book is the distillation of the accumulated wisdom of a number of National and International very eminent personalities like His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Dr Karan Singh, Shovana Narayan, Dr. L.M.Singhvi, Dr. David Frawly,to name a few.
Realizing the paramount need to create a consciousness of the environment and to ensure that it permeates all ages and all sections of the society beginning with the child, school, Swapna Sarthak, there is lot of focus on environmental education. EVS is a compulsory paper for classes I to VI. To instill greater awareness about the subject, this year under the aegis of the Embassy of Kuwait have organized an Inter-NGO painting competition on the topic 'Save the Earth.' Have invited nine NGOs to send ten students each for the competition which was held in the premises of the embassy of Kuwait itself.
